The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive health services, including advanced assessments, diagnosis, and prescribing medications for individuals and communities. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage acute and chronic illnesses while promoting health and illness prevention.
Requires a Master's degree in nursing, a Nurse Practitioner Certificate (Family/All Ages), and active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. BLS certification is required, and 3-5 years of experience in acute or community settings is preferred.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Patient Access, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the provision of health services to manage the needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities. The Nurse Practitioner uses the principles of primary health care to guide clinical practice and thus contributes to the models of health care established by Mosaic Primary Care Network.
The Nurse Practitioner uses their in-depth advanced practice knowledge to provide comprehensive assessments, to order and interpret diagnostic and screening tests, to diagnose illness and disease, and to manage health concerns, including the prescription of medications and therapies. The Nurse Practitioner works autonomously, as well as collaborating with the team of health professionals to provide comprehensive health services for their clients.
This position works within MOSAIC Programs and collaborates with other members of the PMC multidisciplinary team of health professionals to support detailed assessment and comprehensive health services for patients.
