The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans within an interdisciplinary team. Key duties include monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate records, and advocating for patient rights and dignity.
Candidates must be registered as a practicing RN with the BC College of Nurses & Midwives. Required skills include CPR certification and the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
A competitive salary: The salary range for this position is $41.42-$55.91 CAD , depedning on experience. We value the cultural richness that our diverse workforce brings to the care of our equally diverse population of patients and residents Your Day to Day: Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care. Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results. Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems. Identify and address patient/resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary. Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care. Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient/resident care policies and procedures. Advocate for patients/residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
