Provide care to adults and youth with mental health and substance use issues. Facilitate groups and demonstrate leadership through teaching, coaching, and mentoring. Collaborate as part of an inter-disciplinary team and coordinate with internal/external contacts

Overview

Provide nursing care in accordance with provincial legislation, nursing standards, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives code of ethics, as well as employer policies and competencies. Deliver client-centered care using a community-focused approach to promote, maintain, restore health, and prevent/treat/palliate illness and injury. Perform initial and ongoing client assessments (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through evidence-based guidelines. Collaborate with clients, the client’s health care team, and primary care providers to coordinate care. Plan and implement interventions and coordinate health services.
