An unrestricted class 5 drivers license is a requirement of this position. Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required. This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days, evenings and nights. Qualfications Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Canadian Driver’s License as required by position Ability to type 25 WPM *5 minute invigilated typing test dated within the past 48 months from an approved institution. Grade 12 education.
Successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program.
One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Unrestricted Canadian Class 5 driver's licence.
Typing speed of 25 WPM demonstrated through an approved five-minute invigilated typing test dated within the past 48 months
