About the role

Provide personal care, mobility support, and daily living assistance to residents in a retirement community. Maintain a clean, safe environment while administering medications and following individual care plans.

The Opportunity

As an Unregulated Care Aide at Chartwell, you’ll provide personal care, assistance, and support to our residents, helping them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. Your empathy, professionalism, and commitment to excellence will create a warm, supportive environment where residents feel truly at home.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Help residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines like dressing and meals
  • Provide support with laundry, light housekeeping, and meal service
  • Administer medications and follow individual care plans[CS1]
  • Keep resident areas clean and safe, and follow all health and safety protocols
  • Respond to resident and family concerns and report to the Health and Wellness Manager when needed
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services
  • Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred
  • Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs
  • Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well
