Every task you do helps support dignity and quality of life. If you were working with us as a Housekeeping and Laundry Aide, here are some of the things you would have done last week: Performed light cleaning duties in Residents’ households, including dusting furniture, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning wash basins, mirrors, showers, and tubs, and safely disposing of garbage from Residents’ rooms Cleaned public and high-traffic areas by mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, washing windows, and emptying trash containers Completed cleaning of designated areas in line with established procedures, daily routines, and hygiene requirements for both morning and evening shifts Operated housekeeping and laundry equipment safely and effectively Provided efficient, courteous, and respectful service to Residents at all times Followed WHMIS legislation and safe handling procedures for all chemicals used within the department Worked cooperatively with other departments to support housekeeping and laundry operations Followed established routines and direction from the Housekeeping Manager And supported your team as needed. To be hired into this role, you must have: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset) Preferred experience in Seniors Living / Retirement Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto-scrubber, vacuum, etc.) Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
