The RPN oversees the care of the residents under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and follows the guidance principles of the College of Nurses Standards of Care. The RPN is responsible for, and accountable for, providing nursing care to residents and directing the works of PSW's. The RPN is a member of the Health Care Team in the home interfacing with other disciplines such as the Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Dietician, and Physiotherapist to develop the resident's plan of care.</p> <p><strong><em>Job Duties and Responsibilities<br /></em></strong>Administration of

Treatments:</p> <p>Produce proper reporting and documentation for all residents</p> <p>Chart results of prescribed treatments and medications</p> <p>Chart patient&rsquo;s behaviours and incidents not including medication</p> <p>Provide doctor with updated information on residents</p> <p>Transcribe orders by doctors or pharmacy as necessary</p> <p>Communication:</p> <p>Educating residents, family members, staff and students</p> <p>Acting as mentors for students and providing them with all necessary knowledge and skills required</p> <p>Answering phone calls and setting up appointments for residents</p> <p>Patient

Care:</p> <p>Assist as necessary with resident&rsquo;s personal care i.e. feeding, bathing, toileting</p> <p>Assist transferring as necessary</p> <p>Ensure that proper procedures are adhered to during palliative care</p> <p>Ensure that both resident and family members have what they require to be comfortable</p> <p>Equipment
