Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Perianesthesia Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthetic Recovery Room (PAR) team in Kelowna, BC.   • Provides nursing care to patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team

  • Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned This is a Relief Full Time opportunity until August 12, 2027, or the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings, rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 15:00 to 23:00 hours.   • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (perianesthesia or critical care nursing) and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on a post anesthetic room or critical care environment similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Requirements

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.

Current CPR certification.

Advanced preparation in perianesthesia or critical care nursing.

One year of recent related clinical experience in a post-anesthetic recovery or similar critical care environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
