Position Summary

We are seeking a Relief Part Time Clinical Dietitian | Long-term Care. This position supports three sites: Talarico Place in Castlegar, B.C. and Nelson Fairview Gardens and Nelson Jubilee Manor in Nelson, BC. Experience with enteral nutrition and dysphagia experience is an asset. Days of work: Alternating Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Days Shift times: 08:30 to 16:30 This is a relief position until the return of incumbent.

Work-life balance What will you work on? The Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to individuals, patients, residents and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures. Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program. The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/resident care issues and menu development. Apply today! Qualfications

Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.

Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).

Full licensee as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).

One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.

Valid BC Driver’s License may be required.

Full licensure as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC..
