Function as a member of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary care team.
Ensure timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services for clients with serious severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use and/or development disability issues who may or may not be in crisis.
Provide assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and urgent response as required.
Function as a primary clinician utilizing specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients, and/or their families.
Support initial intake and assessment for clients interested in the Opiate Agonist program.
Work with physicians and community services to ensure therapy initiation, support, streamlined transition, and continuity of care.

Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (e.g., Substance Use Counselling & Treatment Services; Treatment, Support & Recovery Services; Crisis Response; Substance Use; Opioid Agonist Treatment Services; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an opioid use disorder certified practice nurse. Current valid B.C. driver’s license
