Provide quality patient care within the delivery model of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH).
Deliver outpatient systemic therapy care in the oncology systemic therapy department.
Provide care in accordance with RVH philosophy, policies, standards of care, and relevant legislation.
Function as a Registered Nurse within scope of practice and professional responsibilities.
Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy in outpatient systemic therapy setting.
Manage/operate with central venous access devices (CVAD).

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation. This position is in the outpatient systemic therapy department within the Hudson Regional Cancer Program at RVH.
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
Current BCLS required.
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Administration Certification required (de Souza or ONS).
CMH de Souza course required.
Post-diploma education: Oncology Nursing (RN) course essential.
Post-diploma education: Patient Assessment essential.
CNA Certification in Oncology (CONC) required within two years of hire.
Two years current progressive experience in Oncology Nursing essential.
Current progressive competence in Outpatient Chemotherapy Administration required.
Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) experience required.
Adult teaching experience essential.
Membership CANO/ONS preferred.
Ability to work across inpatient, outpatient clinics, radiation, and on days, weekends, evenings, and nights
