Who We Look for: We are looking to hire qualified Nurse for a hospital in Midland, ON, having good experience in OBS unit. As a Nurse in OBS unit, you are accountable for the assessment and planning of all aspects of resident care, delivering standard nursing procedures, medication administration, and documentation in compliance with the respective legislation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation: Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Must be compliant with College of Nurses quality assurance standards Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (N.R.P.), Breastfeeding course, Fetal Health Surveillance, OR and Post-partum OBS courses Current B.C.L.S Certification essential, on hire required Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public Demonstrated good communication, organizational and time management skills Proven ability to adapt readily to change Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history 1-2 years’ experience in OBS Labour and Delivery and Post partum
Language & Communication Skills · Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written · Ability to effectively explain and convey the client or family needs to the medical team · Ability to read medical prescriptions and complete incident report form
