The Addiction Worker provides direct support through individual counseling, brief interventions, and health promotion within a bed-based treatment setting. They are also responsible for monitoring the facility, maintaining security, and documenting case notes using EMHware.
The Addiction Worker performs a broad range of activities including but not limited to building monitoring and assigned tasks; brief interventions; individual counseling, information and referral; health promotion; utilize EMHware to record case notes as required; and liaising with community and allied services, resources, partners and referral sources. The Addiction Worker prepares and updates templates and group programming handouts, ensures the security of the buildings and kitchen, checks the status of the defibrillators, and monitors the setting during the shift period.
