1 community‑based support to persons with developmental disabilities. This is a position, requiring flexibility to work across multiple sites, and service locations based on operational needs and service coverage requirements. This role focuses on promoting independence, skill development, and meaningful community participation using person centered and strength based approaches.
Reporting to the Program Supervisor, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality supports by assisting with the implementation and ongoing review of personalized plans, promoting health and safety, and supporting access to community-based opportunities. Through your work, you will help create an environment where individuals are empowered, respected and supported to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in potentially high‑stress environments and apply positive behavioural support strategies and evidence‑based behavioural management principles to support safety, emotional regulation, and positive outcomes.
High levels of personal care required, assistance with health meal planning based on the diabetic guidelines, attention to detailed guidelines and data collection, strong organizational skills and ability to work with high behaviours and stressful situations. High level of professional engagement with external support and family.
