Provide Elders with nutritional meals in a timely manner while adhering to individual dietary regulations.
Set up breakfast items (cold cereals, juices, and milk).
Serve hot meals and beverages to Elders according to special diets.
Prepare and stock snack carts and adjust menus when needed.
Clear dirty dishes, wipe tables, and reset dining areas with cutlery, plates, and glasses.
Clean and restock fridges and freezers and put away laundry.
Determine food and products required for Outreach and Meals on Wheels.
Sort, distribute, and store delivered purchases and ensure programs have needed products.
Perform clerical duties as required, including answering phones, taking messages, and tracking orders.
Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, and County policies and procedures
Completion of Grade 10.
Food Handler’s Certificate.
Enrolled or completion of a Food Service Worker program (College Certificate), OR equivalent institutional/healthcare/restaurant/hospitality cooking experience.
Physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities in the position’s Physical Demands Analysis.
Ability to occasionally provide guidance, instruction, and direction to students and new employees
