Provide a safe and clean environment for Elders, staff, and visitors.
Disinfect contact points (e.g., door handles, light switches, handrails, phones).
Scrub and wipe down toilets, sinks, and countertops.
Perform routine dusting throughout Homes.
Provide floor care including vacuuming and shampooing carpets, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing floors.
Complete weekly heavy cleaning including total cleaning of resident rooms, office space, and utility rooms; remove curtains for laundering; wash walls, beds, floors, and bathrooms.
Support laundry services including ordering linens, maintaining logs of linens delivered/returned, delivering laundry carts and supplies, and changing linens when beds are made.
Pack and move Elders’ belongings.
Perform Elder review once weekly and participate in daily review involvement with nursing, management, supervisors, and families.
Randomly check water temperature in various locations twice daily in accordance with Ministry guidelines.
Keep up-to-date on relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, and County policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented as prescribed
Completion of Grade 10.
No related experience required.
Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
Ability to occasionally provide guidance, instruction, and direction to others (Elders, staff, volunteers).
Knowledge and compliance with relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County policies and procedures, and Ministry guidelines
