The RPN provides professional nursing care to residents and implements facility policies in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. They are responsible for directing Personal Support Workers and liaising with physicians and health care partners.
Candidates must hold a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be a member in good standing. Knowledge of long-term care regulations and various health-related provincial and federal acts is required.
