The Cardiology Technologist performs various cardiac diagnostic tests, including ECGs and stress testing, in an urgent care environment. They are responsible for analyzing results and summarizing them for medical staff interpretation within a patient-centered framework.
Candidates must hold a Diploma in Cardiology Technology, CSCT certification, and be eligible for CTABC membership. At least one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is required.
Education & Experience Diploma in Cardiology Technology plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Successful completion of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) certification exam. Eligible for membership with the Cardiology Technologist Association of British Columbia (CTABC). Knowledge & AbilitiesAbility to keep abreast of current professional standards and technical knowledge.Demonstrated ability to perform duties accurately and maintain quality standards.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to operate related equipment.Ability to organize work.Ability to work in a team environmentGeneral knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice and Harm Reduction approaches and Strengths-based care.Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety. Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safe care in a variety of settings and with diverse populations.Physical ability to perform duties of the positionThe hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
