Qualifications
Current certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum of one-year recent experience in acute care nursing
Current emergency nursing experience preferred
Completion of applicable critical care/emergency courses or working towards preferred
Coronary Care Level I or willingness to obtain within six (6) months is essential; with preference for Coronary II
Current BLS
Current ACLS Certification
Completion of Physical Assessment course
CTAS training preferred
PALS training preferred
TNCC training preferred
Excellent customer service demeanour
Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers
Must adhere to the duties of workers, as stipulated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Must have an ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in the English language in order to provide excellent communication with team members, patients and families. Ability to communicate in additional language(s) is considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities
Contributes within the scope of an RN as a team member in the assessment, treatment, provision of care and health promotion for all patients through supportive, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means while adhering to the standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario. More Information: Location: Emergency Employee Group: ONA Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time (approximately one year) Vacancy: 1 Start Date: To be negotiated Hours of Work: Days, nights, weekend, 12-hr shifts. Please be reminded that as a Hospital, in order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. Therefore, depending on the program for which you are applying, it may be an expectation that you are available to work weekdays and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights. Available on a predetermined basis for up to 22.5 hours per week (45/pay) with availability to be scheduled up to a 0.6 FTE.
Wage
$41.15 - $58.98 per hour plus applicable shift premiums for evenings, nights and weekends.
