What you'll need to apply

• Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 5 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.
• We require the following qualifications:

• Jobs requirements: Will be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and am legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. (Note: International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.) Post-secondary education completed or in progress within social work, social services, mental health and/or addictions Valid Driver’s License and Access to a vehicle for personal transportation Ability to attend work regularly Current, satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

We prefer the following qualifications

• First Aid/CPR Knowledge of Mental Health & Addiction Knowledge of community resources Knowledge of computerized documentation methods Health and safety knowledge including Harm Reduction Crisis intervention and prevention skills Applied Suicide Interventions Skills and Training Ability to prioritize competing demands Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to recognize and guide potential conflict situations Bilingual in both official languages, preferred; Une préférence sera accordée aux personnes possédant des compétences dans les deux langues officielles du Canada Get your application in by –
