The Health Support Aide assists patients with activities of daily living and daily routines of care. Responsibilities include providing basic care and collecting specimens under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Experience in related fields, knowledge of infection control, and first aid training are considered assets.

Grade 12 Any previous related experience or related education would be an asset Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Non-violent Crisis Intervention Relevant first aid, first responder training i.e. St. John Ambulance course, HS lifeguard certificate an asset Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with patients/clients, hospital staff, public and referral sources Competencies in other languages an asset
