Provide specialized mental health counseling and support services to Indigenous women victimized by sexual violence in Northwestern Ontario. Coordinate educational sessions, community development, and referrals to external agencies for psychological and behavioral outcomes.
Requires a college diploma or degree in social services or Indigenous Learning with 3-5 years of experience and specialized training in treating sexual abuse. Must possess a valid vulnerable sector criminal records check and First Aid/CPR certification.

The Indigenous Sexual Assault Worker is able to provide a full range of specialized mental health counseling and individualized and group services to support Indigenous women victimized by sexual violence and assault in Northwestern Ontario. Specialized services include support for and referral to external agency for serious emotional, psychological, and behavioral outcomes relating to sexual assault/violence. Services also include community development, consultation and coordination of educational/informational sessions.

The full salary range for this role is $56,400 - $69,405 ONWA conducts annual performance reviews, and employees may be eligible for salary adjustments based on performance outcomes and available funding.
