The Care Team Assistant provides direct, hands-on care and supports patients with their daily and instrumental activities of living. They also reinforce patient and family teaching based on established guidelines and care plans.
Candidates must have a Provincial Certification from the Continuing Care Assistant Program and be active with the CCA Registry. Current Basic Life Support certification and effective communication skills are also required.

As a member of the collaborative care team, the Care Team Assistant is responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. Continuing Care Assistant Program Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
