Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, medication management, and delegated healthcare tasks. Maintain resident records and facilitate a supportive, inclusive environment through companionship and housekeeping support.
Requires a Care Aide/Community Health Worker certificate and registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry. Candidates must have one year of related experience and a current Emergency First Aid Certificate.
AND REQUIREMENRS Care Aide/Community Health Worker certificate Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Knowledge of relevant healthcare laws and regulations Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Records Check Ability to successfully complete reference check Ability to provide a record of work history Experience in the areas of Community Living and Licensed Care is preferred Good written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Current Emergency First Aid Certificate (please refer to the Certificates accepted in B.C. - WorkSafeBC). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements outlined below are non-specific to the position, as such, there may be additional tasks required. Ability to walk up and down stairs Ability to operate a motor vehicle Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to perform First Aid, CPR, and Naloxone administration Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time Ability to complete general housekeeping duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping, wiping areas, laundry, changing light bulbs) COMPENSATION The wage range for this role is $25.95 - $29.76 per hour, plus benefits.
