The Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates nursing care for patients with multisystem medical conditions awaiting community transition. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide education and care in a fast-paced environment with short patient stays.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current BCLS certification. Preference is given to those with at least one year of medical nursing experience within the last two years.
Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse Minimum one (1) year nursing experience in a medical setting within the last 2 years preferred Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Understanding of, and commitment to applying principles of Senior Friendly Care Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, organizational, problem identification and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and shifting demands Commitment to providing Excellent Patient Experiences Commitment to ongoing learning Evidence of consistent attendance and punctuality
