Provide patient and family-centered care in a fast-paced surgical oncology unit to reduce hospital harm indicators. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to manage stable patients with complex medical needs.
Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current BCLS certification. Requires proficiency in acute care skills, electronic documentation, and professional communication.
Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Familiarity with the unique challenges of an acute care setting Knowledgeable in pain management, enteral and parenteral nutrition, wound care, stoma management, and vascular access skills Exhibits organizational skills required to function in fast paced environments Displays exceptional communication and respect within an inter-professional team setting Evidence of ongoing professional development Proficient in electronic documentation and technology
