The Registered Nurse coordinates nursing care for patients with multisystem medical conditions, specifically within a geriatric population. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and community agencies to provide evidence-based, compassionate quality care.
Candidates must hold a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a BCLS certification. Previous experience in acute medicine or geriatric care is required, along with strong leadership and clinical assessment skills.
Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Previous related experience in either acute medicine or geriatric care Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, organizational, problem identification and problem-solving skills Knowledge of the current nursing assessment and management of adult and geriatric medicine patients, including rehabilitative approaches to patient care Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and shifting demands
