Coordinates and performs diagnostic imaging examinations in general X-Ray and CT modalities. Provides patient care and guides clinical associates and students within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Requires graduation from an approved Radiological Technology program and current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario. Experience in CT and Mammography is preferred.
As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the discipline of general X-Ray and CT, may support other modalities based on qualifications. As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required.
