The LPN provides holistic nursing care to residents, including assessment, care planning, and implementation of interventions. They also provide leadership to resident attendants and ensure a safe, clean environment for all residents and visitors.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a two-year Practical Nursing course from NBCC or equivalent. Active registration or eligibility for registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses is required.

Job Description: Specific
Operational – Assists in orientation of new personnel and new residents/families. Utilizes the Home’s resources, such as supplies and equipment, economically and safely. Helps to identify equipment needs and is occasionally asked to evaluate equipment on trial prior to purchase. Nursing Care Responsibilities – Utilizes the nursing process, within established scope of practise, in providing holistic resident service.
Observes, collects, records & reports information regarding the resident. Administers appropriate test, procedures & treatments within established scope of practice standards.
High school graduation or equivalent plus successful completion of a two year Practical Nursing course through NBCC or equivalency. Active registration in the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses, or eligible for registration in New Brunswick required. Good attendance record. Ability to work in team setting and take direction. Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to follow verbal and written instructions in English. This is a part time position with 18 hrs per week on average. Related and allied duties will be assigned from time to time as may become necessary to the operation of the facility.
