Provide residential support to adults with dual diagnosis and mental health challenges to enhance their social and daily living activities. Implement behavior management plans and support clients in developing personal and community living skills.
Requires a high school diploma and at least a one-year post-secondary certificate in Human or Health Services. Must possess a valid G class driver's license and current First Aid/CPR certifications.
$23.08 - $24.46 per hour (note: the above hourly rate includes negotiated rate and permanent compensation enhancement).

Varied Schedule - Guaranteed between forty-eight (48) and seventy (70) hours per pay period. Schedules may vary with each pay period and employees will be provided with their work schedule at least six (6) weeks in advance.
Pathways to Independence requires four (4) Regular Part-Time Support Workers who will work as a member of the residential support team to enhance the social, leisure and daily living activities for adults.
Under the direction of the Client Services Manager, the Support Worker supports adults with dual diagnosis, mental health, behavioral challenges, and those involved in forensic services in accordance with the person’s life plan. The Support Worker provides support with activities such as homemaking, personal care, community, and personal development skills in accordance with the person’s Quality of Life Plan, and other directives as required. The Support Worker will implement established strategies and behavior management plans under the general direction of the Manager and Counsellor. The Support Worker ensures that the person’s services and support promote their rights, choices, self-determination, independence and builds personal and community living skills.
The successful candidate must be able to perform the job duties as outlined in the job description. All employees at Pathways will be responsible for a commitment to safety. Shifts are typically 12 hours long and include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. May work with clients who have aggressive behavior.
