The Research Assistant supports the FORBOW study by assisting with participant recruitment, administering tests and interviews, and collecting biological samples. They are also responsible for study administration, data entry, and providing general administrative support.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or Science preferred. Experience with children, youth, and mental illness, as well as knowledge of diagnostic criteria, is considered an asset.

FORBOW aims to identify risk in youth at an early stage, when pre-emptive interventions may prevent the development of mental illness. FORBOW involves children and youth (age 1 - 24 years) and their parents, some of whom are living with mental illness (depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia). Grade 12 Bachelor or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Science) preferred Previous experience in a health care or clinical research is an asset Experience working with children and youth Experience with mental illness an asset Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for mental and behavioral disorders is an asset Experience with cognitive testing an asset Effective communication, problem solving and decision making skills Well developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a professional manner Competencies in multiple languages an asset, French preferred
