Provide psychoeducation and long-term therapeutic support to survivors of trauma and human trafficking to improve overall wellbeing. Develop and deliver prevention workshops and collaborate with community partners to support client re-integration.
Requires a Master's degree in Social Work or Counselling and registration with a regulatory body like OCSWSSW or CRPO. Must have deep knowledge of trauma-informed modalities, harm reduction, and anti-racist perspectives.

Strides Toronto Support Services (“Strides Toronto”) Strides Toronto is a multi-service agency supporting infants, children, youth and young adults from birth to age 29, and their families, primarily across east Toronto. We offer community-based, residential and treatment programs—including mental health counselling, autism services, early intervention, day treatment, education, outreach and community support—using a client-centered, evidence-informed approach. Since 2015, Strides Toronto has served as Toronto’s Lead Agency for Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health, partnering with 21 core service providers to provide system leadership, citywide planning, coordinated service delivery and program alignment. This is an existing vacancy for a part-time contract Individual and Family Therapist (IFT) for the Responsive Outreach Community Support (ROCKS) project. The IFT provides psychoeducation and therapeutic support to survivors of trauma in order to reduce trauma symptoms and improve the client’s overall wellbeing. The IFT supports a client’s re-integration into healthy relationships and community by working with them to meet their goals.
The IFT provides long-term therapeutic support to survivors of domestic sex trafficking and those who identify as working in the sex trade by choice, circumstance, or coercion. As part of the ROCKS project, the IFT supports the development and delivery of human trafficking prevention workshops.
