Deliver high-quality nursing care and emotional support to long-term care residents while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, and developing individualized care plans.
Requires graduation from a recognized Practical Nurses program and active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Candidates must hold a current basic cardiac life support certification and be physically able to perform nursing duties.

Your Day to Day Provide safe and respectful nursing care, adhering to established policies, individualized care plans, and priorities Conduct thorough assessments, monitor signs/symptoms, and communicate with the RN/RPN as needed Prepare patients for procedures, transfers, and admissions, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team Administer medications per protocol, monitor effects, and maintain communication with the team Utilize evidence-based resources to stay updated on nursing practices Respond to incidents such as codes, injuries, spills, and alarms, following procedures Assist with staff orientation, demonstrating procedures and providing support Address patient/resident and family learning needs, provide educational materials, and make referrals Attend care planning meetings, provide input, and advocate for patients/residents Collaborate with the team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans Assist with discharge planning based on patient status and external supports Operate and clean equipment, report malfunctions, and handle hazardous materials.
