Provide safe and respectful nursing care to residents in long-term care, including performing comprehensive assessments and implementing physician orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and supervise care staff to ensure high quality of life.
Requires current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to perform CPR.

Your Day to Day: Provides safe and respectful nursing care to assigned patients/residents in accordance with policies, individualized care plans, and care priorities. Performs comprehensive assessments, monitors for abnormal signs or lab results, and collaborates with RN/RPN and interdisciplinary team for complex cases. Communicates and implements physician orders, including transcribing and processing them accurately. Documents all care activities such as assessments, treatments, medication administration, and discharge planning in manual or electronic records. Prepares and assists with surgical/diagnostic procedures, transfers, and admissions, ensuring coordination with physicians and care team members. Administers medications (excluding IV), monitors effects, and maintains communication with RN/RPN and team as needed.
