Performs microscopic examination and diagnostic interpretation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens. This work aids in the diagnosis of infectious disease processes as well as precancerous and cancerous conditions.
Requires a Cytotechnology diploma and certification/registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and the Saskatchewan Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists. A valid driver's license and a Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search are also required.
