Flex Support Worker Barrie II and III- Awake Nights

We are presently accepting resumes for a number of Flex Support Worker II and III– Awake Night Shift positions. These positions will be assigned to work in various Empower Simcoe group homes in Barrie, working up to 72 hours biweekly. The purpose of this role is to provide flexible, person-centered support across multiple group living locations within Empower Simcoe, at our Barrie locations. The Flex Support Worker will play a critical role in filling vacant shifts, responding to immediate staffing needs, and being prepared for redeployment where necessary. Compensation Package:
• Hours of work will include working 12-hour shifts for a total of 72 hours biweekly primarily between 7:00am-7:00pm
• Minimum starting rate of pay is $24.63/hour - 11 paid Statutory Holidays

Minimum Qualifications

• Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer or a PSW certification from an accredited education facility is required
• Previous recent work experience in a community residential or social services setting providing support to people with disabilities is preferred
• Candidates who have a completed degree or diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people.
