Position Summary

• Vernon Jubilee Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk to join their team in Vernon, BC! This position works rotating days, evenings and nights: 23:00 to 07:00, 23:59 to 07:59, 06:00 to 14:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 07:00 to 15:00, 09:00 to 14:00 Days off: Rotating How will we help you grow? Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. This position operates the switchboard, public address and paging systems accepting and directing calls from a variety of customers according to established policies, standards and procedures; receives and directs patients and visitors; registers patients; responds to and monitors hospital alarms and emergency codes; maintains physician on-call/vacation lists; and performs a variety of clerical duties related to receiving and registering of patients, identifying bed booking options, and cashier functions.
