The Specialist Physician provides assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex internal medicine and gastrointestinal conditions for adult patients. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopies and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Candidates must hold a medical degree with completed residency in Internal Medicine and accredited subspecialty training in Gastroenterology. Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and provincial licensure are required.

The Specialist Physician (Internal Medicine / Gastroenterology) is responsible for providing specialized medical services to adult patients, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical and gastrointestinal conditions. The Physician delivers care in outpatient clinical settings and, where authorized, hospital and procedural environments, in accordance with provincial legislation, College standards, and evidence-based medical practice.
The salary for this position falls within a defined range and will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization.
