Responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of physiotherapy clients in home, community, and work settings. Duties include establishing treatment goals, maintaining clinical records, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy and registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Preference is given to candidates with two years of experience, specifically in home assessments and medical/legal report writing.
Education Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy. Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Experience Preference of two years providing Physiotherapy services. Experience within home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system particularly medical/legal report writing. Experience with WSIB and Private clients is an asset. Other Skills and Abilities Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent manner. Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team. Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with secure email. Commitment to continual learning. Valid driver’s license. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE The Physiotherapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives. PERFORMANCE REVIEW Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review if required. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
