The Clinical Research RN is responsible for the safe and ethical care of participants in early-phase clinical trials, including administering investigational products and monitoring for adverse events. The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ClinSurge Research Phase 1 Unit is responsible for the safe and ethical care of healthy volunteers and/or patients participating in early-phase clinical trials. This role involves close monitoring, precise protocol execution, and collaboration with multidisciplinary research teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and study requirements. Key Responsibilities Administer investigational products (IP) in accordance with study protocols Perform clinical assessments, including vital signs, ECGs, and physical observations Monitor participants for adverse events and report findings promptly Collect and process biological samples (e.g., blood, urine) per protocol Maintain accurate and timely documentation (source documents, CRFs, EMR) Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory guidelines, and site SOPs Educate study participants on procedures, risks, and expectations Collaborate with physicians, coordinators, and lab personnel Assist in study start-up, execution, and close-out activities Maintain infection control and safety standards
