Occupational Therapists will treat clients with mental stress injuries or impairments related to motor vehicle accidents, focusing on return to pre-accident function through specialized programs. Responsibilities include conducting various assessments and treatments such as in-vivo exposure therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and mental health treatment in community settings.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and possess a valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle for travel within a 1-1.5 hour radius. Success requires strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills, along with empathy and the ability to work independently.

Working in communities across Ontario, our Community Rehabilitation Services team treats clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre-accident function.
Occupational Therapists within our Complex Auto program assess and treat clients presenting with various physical (musculoskeletal, orthopaedic), cognitive (TBIs, concussions) and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents. Working in a community setting, you will have the opportunity to complete in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment and several other interventions. This program allows you to provide ‘start to finish care’ and guide your clients through every step of their recovery!
Many of our OTs focus on one area of practice, while others prefer the variety offered by a mixed caseload.
