Conduct diagnostic psychological assessments and provide evidence-based treatment for complex conditions like trauma and anxiety. Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic rehabilitation services for veterans and other client groups.
Requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Psychology and current registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists. Must possess professional liability insurance and experience in adult psychological assessments and cognitive-behavioral treatments.
Lifemark is excited about our new partnership with Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), the national contractor for the administration and delivery of medical, psycho-social and vocational rehabilitation services with both multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams (i.e., physiotherapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, vocational rehab specialist, case coordinators) and interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists).
This offers a greater opportunity to have a more consistent approach to care that is holistic and integrated, improving experiences for both providers and participants.
The PCVRS work is one major component of this role; however, you will also be able to leverage your psychological competencies as a trusted subject-matter expert to apply evidence-based and process expertise to meaningful step-care mental health programs across the mental health continuum (prevention, monitoring and intervention).
