Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in ICU, CCU, Burn Unit, and Emergency departments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage critical care patients and support the Code Blue and RACE teams.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with current CRTO registration and CBRC certification. Requires BCLS/ACLS certifications and at least 3 years of experience in adult critical care within the last 2 years.
Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy Current General Registration, in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) Successful Completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications Recent 3 years experience (within the last 2 years) within an adult critical care setting Demonstrated skills and ability in ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management and mechanical ventilation Demonstrated proficiency in adult oral endotracheal intubation, adult arterial blood gas sampling, and adult tracheostomy management and care Demonstrated knowledge of the respiratory care, support and critical care management of adult critical care patients Demonstrated knowledge and maintenance of respiratory, resuscitation and anesthesia related equipment Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture and vascular access
