The Occupational Therapist implements individual goal-based programs to help residents regain or maintain optimal independence, prevent deformity, and decrease pain, while assisting with mobility and health-related equipment access. Responsibilities include completing initial and ongoing occupational therapy assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved school of occupational therapy and possess two years of recent related experience, preferably working with the elderly. Current practicing registration with the applicable provincial registering body is mandatory, along with fluent English communication skills.
