Overview

Provide competent, safe, and ethical physiotherapy care to people and their families in Primary Care settings. Practice in accordance with the college practice standards outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia. Function as a member of an interprofessional team and apply best practice. Provide clinical follow-up according to the person’s Primary Care Plan and personal goals of care. Support people and their families to achieve and maintain optimal health. Collaborate with the interprofessional team to inform and develop plans of care. Teach clients and others one-on-one and in groups. Integrate best practice and current research evidence into professional practice decisions and actions. Assist people in managing mental health or addiction challenges according to their care plan and personal goals. Provide care in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools and communities.
