Prepare specimens for analysis (centrifuge, aliquot, distribute by priority; assist with gross exams). Stain, mount, and label slides. Perform clerical duties including computer data entry and communicating test results. Clean, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and report equipment problems per procedure. Prepare reagents/media and specimen collection materials; receive, store, and ship specimens and materials. Handle and transport specimens for pre-analytical and post-analytical storage and discard specimens per protocols. Load specimens for analysis on barcode-enhanced automated and semi-automated equipment.
