Overview
Provide health promotion and protection activities including assessment, early detection and intervention, clinical services, educational strategies, disease surveillance and investigation, consultation and counselling, and harm reduction strategies to enhance well-being and prevent illness. Deliver sexual health clinic services in a variety of settings including homes, workplaces, schools, childcare settings, organizations, institutional settings and clinics. Provide leadership in promoting community activation strategies to increase community knowledge of and ability to influence determinants of health. Participate in the development of public policy and social marketing strategies to advocate for and promote healthier communities. Collaborate with community partners to develop and deliver health promotion and protection activities. Plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs, services and strategies based on needs assessments and in compliance with legislative requirements. Utilize evidence-informed research and best practices to guide program development, delivery and practice. Practice within the scope of the College of Nurses of Ontario, Professional Standards of Practice. Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with Department, Branch and Divisional objectives
