Overview
Complete initial comprehensive clinical assessments for high-risk and complex children, youth, and families. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans. Develop comprehensive formulation and individualized treatment plans with input from collateral sources and the multidisciplinary team. Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based practices and monitor clinical outcomes. Modify treatment approaches as clients' status changes. Use commitment strategies to support therapeutic engagement and assess client readiness/stage of change. Support pro-social development and self-regulation of mental health symptoms and related behaviours (e.g., substance use, conflict management, anger management). Maintain progress/contact notes documenting each client contact and alignment with treatment goals and policy. Collaborate with the treatment team and participate in interagency/team meetings. Liaise with internal and external collaterals in the provision of clinical services. Work some evenings per week based on client needs. Travel as required for the position

Use trauma-informed, strengths-based, recovery philosophy to support psychosocial rehabilitation and optimal health outcomes. Deliver psycho-education and provide consultation/resources and education to clients, caregivers, and community partners. Provide information to clients and families about access to community resources to support continuity of service. Participate in ongoing development of group therapy components by facilitating child and adolescent groups. Practice in accordance with professional standards of practice and code of ethics (College of Health and Care Professionals of BC) and within a client and family centered care model.
