Conduct hearing screening for infants at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital & Health Centre in compliance with the BCEHP Hearing Screening Protocol. Import infants into the data system, triage, screen, and refer for follow-up as required by the BCEHP protocol. Set up screening test conditions accurately and obtain conclusive results. Communicate screening results and follow-up recommendations to families and other care providers. Demonstrate family-centered care and safe handling of newborn babies. Confirm and communicate hearing loss risk factors to families and the multidisciplinary team and make audiological referrals as required. Document hearing screening results in the BCEHP data system and required patient/NICU/site records. Monitor and troubleshoot hearing screening equipment; perform routine listening and quality checks; log and report concerns to the Provincial Trainer or designate. Schedule follow-up appointments as needed under guidance of the BCEHP provincial office. Perform other related duties as assigned
