Provide direct and confidential prevention and intervention clinical counselling services to children, youth, and their families. Conduct assessments and apply a variety of therapeutic approaches. Prevent and reduce negative contact with police and criminal behaviour by children and youth throughout the City. Exercise considerable independence of judgment and action with minimal supervision. Conduct interviews and engage youth and parent(s)/guardian(s) in counselling sessions. Recognize, assess, and address behavioural and social problems related to at-risk children/youth. Prepare reports and maintain records and files for an assigned portfolio. Obtain and maintain RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (as required)
